Zero in on bargains

Lands End suede shoesI’ve discovered that I have a gift. No, I can’t turn everyday items into gold or come up with clever retorts to rude comments on-the-spot, but I have an uncanny ability to spot Lands End suede children’s shoes from a mile away. Even single shoes at the bottom of thrift store shoe bins yell to me, forcing me to seek out their wayward twin. It’s as if I have x-ray suede vision.

As a result, my children now have multiple pairs of said Lands End suede shoes, purchased for around $.99 each. I also found a pair of nearly new J. Crew suede ankle boots, also for less than $1.

What does this mean for you? If you find you have a knack for spotting a certain designer’s clothes, or picking out cashmere sweaters from 100 feet, consider buying those thrift store bargains and reselling them, to fund even more fabulous purchases at your favorite (thrift) stores.
